In 2005, April Boone decided sitting in an office all day churning out proposals, budgets and copy didn’t exactly keep her creative juices flowing as she managed the operations of her employer’s marketing company.
There were too many possibilities outside those four white walls, and there was a need to be filled by affordable and innovative marketing solutions. So, with one giant leap of faith, April sprang from the doldrums of in-the-box thinking with a clear mind and vision, and Global Marketing Solutions was born on the sandy shores of the Alabama Gulf Coast.
Early on, April decided to offer marketing solutions that were exploratory, exciting and educational…and all within budgets that even the Mom and Pop shops could afford. She practiced with the belief that the process and collaboration should be just as exciting as the end result, because otherwise, she should have just stayed put in her old office.
Fast forward to today and GMS’ one-woman shop has grown to include 17 team members. Thanks to a team with diverse talents who each wear different hats, Global Marketing Solutions offers clients a boutique feel while providing big-company results.
