At GMS we have a soft spot for the city of Foley, Alabama. It is our home and it’s a wonderful place to live and do business. Foley has a diverse, vibrant economy. It also has an intriguing combination of attractions, some spotlighting its past, some celebrating top interests of today. It also enjoys an enviable location, central to one of the most popular coastal regions in the country.

The staff of the tourism department asked for our help in telling Foley’s story in order to capitalize on its variety of assets. Since tourism is just one piece of the city’s economic pie, promotional resources were limited. Careful prioritization and efficient, effective solutions were called for. That was the beginning of our involvement with Visit Foley.

Visit Foley contracted with GMS to design and build a responsive tourism promotion website. We also built a custom, database-driven backend that allows their staff to input events and listings. The GMS team recommended Foley also start growing their customer database and sending a monthly email newsletter. We created a responsive design template that features a main story, spotlights on businesses, and upcoming events. We also worked with the staff to develop a content plan that we continue to execute.
